Those pesky Van Allen Belts have never been fully explained.
I am certainly not a man of science. I am simply open to continuing the discussion.
"Pesky"? Only to people who want to put satellites in Medium Earth Orbit. And have them stay there for years. And still work after several years. Be we've learned a lot, over the years, about making our electronics "radiation hard". People who want to travel through them rapidly, just make sure to do so rapidly. People who want to avoid them pass through those altitudes near the poles.
He has lots of other great videos as well discussing the American and UK air and space programs.
So... since the Van Allen Belts were explored by, and theories about them proven by, Explorer 1 and 3... and they were mapped by Explorer 4, Pioneer 3 and Luna 1...
all these from a satellite program and all launched between FEB 1958 to JAN 1959...
with Luna 1 getting within 3800 mi of the moon...
And you think the information gathered by this satellite program... more than ten years ahead of the Apollo missions... and getting within spitting distance of the moon (239,000 mi away)... to be some sort of potential evidence that we never went to the moon?
Intriguing.
Gravity has yet to be fully explained. Does it not exist either?
