Oh, yeah, as for the background shot of the earthrising from the moon's surface, c. Apollo 11? The Earth is too small. Also, the angle never changes from the moon surface shot to the shot inside the capsule, from the window...

... or is that why the Apollo 11 footage got "erased"? LOL

Hey! Where’s the blast crater under the lunar module. It looks kinda like it was just set there. And, hey! How did that astronaut in the picture get exposed perfectly even though he’s in the middle of the shadow of the lunar module. That’s crazy. I wish I knew something about photography and staging shots.

LOL! But I’m still wondering why there are no stars.

I wonder if it was just too difficult to calculate the patterns of the stars c. 1970 from that purported vantage point, the surface of the moon...?

Trust me, if we ever went to the moon there would be Walmarts there by now. People want to believe it. They saw it w/their own eyes. Hell, I want t believe it too. It was 1969. If you own a new washing machine, it has far more computer power than any rocket we sent to the moon, and they say we don’t have the technology now?

We all believed we went to the moon. Past tense.

But you're right

"If you own a new washing machine, it has far more computer power than any rocket we sent to the moon, and they say we don’t have the technology now?"

None of this makes sense... China is apparently going to the moon right now.

It's pro'ly all about getting another trillion dollars out of us.

Call me when they get there. They probly counterfeited our rockets like all of the fake apple and Gucci stuff they make.

The Chinese do a lot of underwater shooting to fake the space walks. Air bubbles give it away.

Good Lord you are a typically dense flat earther. They did not need recorders on the moon for the video, the recorders were on earth, recording the signals. A camera does not need recording media built in to work.

I see you have proved my earlier observation about flat earthers being extreme fundamentalist Christians, you’re already falling back to the “my holy book” defense.

LOL, well, you’re wrong there, because NASA says that the “recording was done on their deep space vehicles”... equiped with 1” videotape recorders the size of a small car? (LOL)

And I’m no fundie. I know that we are not to “put the Lord to the test” as Jesus taught.

So where were the batteries to drive all this energy-draining, old-time tech on the deep space vehicle, and analog color video cameras on the moon?

Big suckers, those batteries had to have been.

Do you maintain, as NASA does, that the relay to earth and back was only 1.5 seconds?

LOL... talk about dense. There was a 1.5 second lag on my cellphone just a few years ago.

And explain to me how you would transmit a video signal in c.1970’s technology, off a spinning moon, which was spinning around a spinning earth, which in turn both were spinning at an enormous rate of speed around the sun?

What is the rate of speed the earth supposedly spins around the sun again?

All that spinnin’, calculatin’ and targetin’ of Houston and back, over half a billion miles... in 1.5 seconds, using some aluminum foil-built transmitters and go-cart for a tripod? With no refrigerator-sized batteries to power it all?

Wow. That’s a lot of high-tech specs and requirements for such a low-tech situation.

I’d really like to examine the camera set-up.

Sorry you were wrong about the video recorders being “on earth”.

I know.

But NASA is such a liberal organization, NASA is such a UN-loving, Climate Change/Paris Accord loving, Islam-loving organization... founded with actual Hitler-era Nazis... that I’m surprised the conservatives on FR buy anything that NASA tells us!

We all know that liberals do what liberals do best... lie.

Oopsie...

How did I know in advance when I asked you about the speed of the earth (and moon) around the sun, that there was a religious angle to all this sacred geometry/geomancy in NASA's numbers? So the curvature of the earth seems to always have a "666" reset...

and so does the "speed of the earth rotating around the sun"... 66600 miles per hour.

LOL

Lotsa other 666's in them numbers too.

Curvature of the earth formula loaded down with more "666's"...

And no one can even verify the "scientific" math for the curvature of the earth, because the drop off point is so severe, we would all see it with our naked eye!

Measuring the Curvature of the Earth Basic Spherical Geometry

If the earth is a globe, and is 25,000 English statute miles in circumference, the surface of all standing water must have a certain degree of convexity–every part must be an arc of a circle.

From the summit of any such arc there will exist a curvature or declination of 8 inches in the first statute mile. In the second mile the fall will be 32 inches; in the third mile, 72 inches, or 6 feet, as shown in the following diagram:

Let the distance from T to figure 1 represent 1 mile, and the fall from 1 to A, 8 inches; then the fall from 2 to B will be 32 inches, and from 3 to C, 72 inches. In every mile after the first, the curvature downwards from the point T increases as the square of the distance multiplied by 8 inches.

The rule, however, requires to be modified after the first thousand miles.

The following table will show at a glance the amount of curvature, in round numbers, in different distances up to 100 miles.[4]

(note how many times 666 shows up)

Statute Miles Away Math = Drop
1 1 x 1 x 8 = 8 Inches
2 2 x 2 x 8 = 32 Inches
3 3 x 3 x 8 / 12 = 6 Feet
4 4 x 4 x 8 / 12 = 10.6 Feet
5 5 x 5 x 8 / 12 = 16.6 Feet
6 6 x 6 x 8 / 12 = 24 Feet
7 7 x 7 x 8 / 12 = 32.6 Feet
8 8 x 8 x 8 / 12 = 42.6 Feet
9 9 x 9 x 8 / 12 = 54 Feet
10 10 x 10 x 8 / 12 = 66.6 Feet
20 20 x 20 x 8 / 12 = 266.6 Feet
30 30 x 30 x 8 / 12 = 600 Feet
40 40 x 40 x 8 / 12 = 1,066.6 Feet
50 50 x 50 x 8 / 12 = 1,666.6 Feet
60 60 x 60 x 8 / 12 = 2,400 Feet
70 70 x 70 x 8 / 12 = 3,266.6 Feet
80 80 x 80 x 8 / 12 = 4,266.6 Feet
90 90 x 90 x 8 / 12 = 5,400 Feet
100 100 x 100 x 8 / 12 = 6,666.6 Feet
(WOW! What a curve drop of 6,666 feet at 100 miles!)

120 120 x 120 x 8 / 12 = 9,600 Feet

"Speed of the Earth

How Fast Is the Earth Rotating on Its Axis?

The Earth rotates on its axis once each day. Because the circumference of the Earth at the equator is 24,901.55 miles, a spot on the equator rotates at approximately 1,037.5646 miles per hour (1,037.5646 times 24 equals 24,901.55), or 1,669.8 km/h.

At the North Pole (90 degrees north) and South Pole (90 degrees south), the speed is effectively zero because that spot rotates once in 24 hours, at a very, very slow speed.

To determine the speed at any other latitude, simply multiply the cosine of the degree latitude times the speed of 1,037.5646.

Thus, at 45 degrees north, the cosine is .7071068, so multiply .7071068 times 1,037.5464, and the speed of the rotation is 733.65611 miles per hour (1,180.7 km/h).

For other latitudes the speed is:

10 degrees: 1,021.7837 mph (1,644.4 km/h)
20 degrees: 974.9747 mph (1,569.1 km/h)
30 degrees: 898.54154 mph (1,446.1 km/h)
40 degrees: 794.80665 mph (1,279.1 km/h)
50 degrees: 666.92197 mph (1,073.3 km/h)
60 degrees: 518.7732 mph (834.9 km/h)
70 degrees: 354.86177 mph (571.1 km/h)
80 degrees: 180.16804 mph (289.95 km/h)

How Fast Does the Earth Travel While Orbiting the Sun?

In addition to the rotational speed of the Earth spinning on its axis, the planet is also speeding at about 66,660 miles per hour (107,278.87 km/h) in its revolution around the sun once every 365.2425 days."

Now, let's see... "on average" the earth rotates at 666 mph. And "on average" the earth rotates around the sun at ... 66,600 mph. THAT'S A LOT OF ANTI-CHRIST SPINNING...

This lunacy seems to be spreading among some young conservatives on twitter. I was hoping that they intended it as satire but I don’t think that they are.

The Apollo descent stages left on the lunar surface are too small to be seen by Hubble, which can see objects as small as 60-75 yards, about three-quarters the length of a soccer field. The left-behind descent stages are only about the size of a small truck.

These observations weren't easy. The moon is a difficult target for Hubble because it moves across the sky faster than Hubble can track it and is very dim in ultraviolet light. The observations required steady, precise, as well as long exposures to search for the resources. In spite of these challenges, Hubble was able to image all of its targets, and early results show that Hubble can detect ilmenite at the Apollo 17 site from 248,000 miles (400,000 km) away.

(Makes absolutely no sense... our eyesight is better than Hubble? LOL)
