I'm sorta thinking he might have cancer. Either, when he made the commercial, he went to the shoot bombed, high, or pilled.

Or he is in pain therapy. His voice and manners are, in my opinion, similar to those of Miguel Ferrer, late cast member of NCIS: LA, who died of cancer, and who spent his last two seasons apparently performing while under pain medication therapy.

I thought Ray’s voice sounded pretty much like it did in Goodfellas, it’s a very distinct voice.
