"I said jeeze if we had brunch and dancing girls here I could make one dang stop." I just turned 60 and I feel like a 30 year old!
It's impossible to find one that's willing.

You can learn a lot from old guys. Old man Doyle taught me how to tie flys and make spinner baits when I was little kid. now I suspect he was passing it on cus his eyes here getting to weak for the detail work LOL.
That old guy caught a HUGE 6.5 foot Muskie on a 3 pieced wooden lure he made and painted

Am sure you can get the proper leads from the Ward Museum in Salisbury, Maryland. The Ward Brothers were decoy carvers during my father’s hunting years. I have shot over their decoys and still have a pintail decoy signed by Lem Ward carved in 1936. The World Championship Wildlife Carving Competition is held every year in Ocean City, Maryland, my home town. You can find the Ward Museum and info on the carving competition on the net.

I think I will add something that you and I discussed a couple of years back if I remember correctly, but for others, the Mesa Woodcarvers Exhibition is one of the best shows of its type I have attended.
Lots of top quality work judged and ribboned on exhibition.
A good number of vendors with tools and supplies available, although last year was not as comprehensive as in years past.
Some demonstrations and perhaps a class or two.
It used to be right around Valentine’s day but this year it is in March.
