You buy eggs with poop on them?! Chicken eggs should be washed and dried before sale. You have some weird chicken farmers.
Actually, it’s one of the reasons I DON’T usually buy ‘farm’ eggs. Although, as we all know, bacteria are there, even if you can’t see them, so eggs without obvious fecal matter on them, is no guarantee that there’s no residue of it. I have, occasionally, seen store bought eggs with a bit of poop on them. And since a chicken’s vent is used for copulation, defecation, AND egg laying, it’s amazing we DON’T get sick! I’ve been cooking for almost 50 years, and to my knowledge, none of us have ever had salmonella. I suspect we’ve all developed immunity to most varieties.
