President Trump will tweet Friday morning that he is nominating State Department Spokeswoman Heather Nauert to be the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, replacing outgoing official Nikki Haley, multiple sources tell Fox News.
Back in October, Nauert, a former Fox News host, was believed to be a "leading contender" for the position, sources familiar with the selection process said at the time.
Haley unexpectedly announced her resignation in October and promised to serve in her role through the end of 2018. At the time, she described her time in the position as a "blessing," but offered no reason for leaving except a belief that government officials must know "when it’s time to step aside."

I am going to assume that Ms Nauert has the requisite amount of grit -— a’la Ms Haley -— to excel in the position.
I was surprised quite pleasantly over Ms. Haley’s “America-First” brashness in front of the world’s debating club.

I think she will be. I watched her for several years on F&F and I think she’s got the grit and smarts to do just fine.

I think Trump likes having a strong female in the UN to really piss off all the Arab terror-lovers....they have to be chewing the insides of their faces up when a Nikki talks down to them....

In her position, speaking on the mideast some months back, this lady .. blamed Israel for Palestine problems.
If she is anti Israel, surely Trump would know this.

My thought is Trump see the UN ambassador position a first and foremost a way to stick it to globalist and ragheads that the UN is powerless paper tiger.

Trump is showing his disdain for the UN, by nominating this highly unqualified woman. It’s surprising she accepted the nomination as she will undergo a contentious senate confirmation.
