Agreed. So, unless you have some Heavenly ‘magic wand’ to ensure that only saints are in government positions, what solution do you have to protect us against scoundrels in high positions?
People don’t have to be saints, just decent human beings. One way to get decent human beings in government is have squeaky clean elections, get rid of lobbyists, make Congress follow the laws it passes, and iron fist punishment for breaking laws.

I agree with what you’ve posted on the secrecy problem.
What’s needed is to hold them accountable in their secrecy. Seems like we need a kind of oversight that hasn’t been done before.
