This IS a CONSERVATIVE web site, as it is stated on the frontispiece.

The WEEKLY STANDARD is NOT "conservative" at all; so there goes your whole supposition about this site and everything else.

And claiming that Trump doesn't stand for CONSERVATISM is hysterically funny and proves, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that YOU don't understand what "conservatism" actually is, nor what is doable!

He "bashed the "best" in Congress? REALLY? Please name names/show examples of these supposed "best" Congress Critters!

Tucker is an utter jerk and Coulter blows hot&cold, who imagines that Romney is a "great guy"!

"Mature minds" ? Oh good grief; you have the gall to claim to have one, do you? It is to laugh; a huge belly laugh...full of derision!

Yes, of course, the WS considers itself conservative: "A Weekly Conservative Magazine & Blog"

And yes, of course, the Free Republic uses the word in its description of itself too.

It's an entirely subjective definition. Paul Ryan says he is conservative too. And, by anyone's definition, he IS conservative - relative to Nancy Pelosi.

"...claiming that Trump doesn't stand for CONSERVATISM is hysterically funny..."

Well, I never said that. But I'm Trump-level talented if I can get a bitter fellow like you to laugh!

"YOU don't understand what "conservatism" actually is..."

Well, again, that's exactly my point. That word simply means whatever you like it to mean. I'm not sure it ever had a clear definition and certainly today it does not.

Free Republic, on the other hand, is a much more objective term. And, yes, I maintain that Trump absolutely is NOT a supporter of that concept.

"Mature minds...you have the gall to claim to have one, do you?"

Yes, absolutely. I'm 40% gall, by the way.

And, yes, of course, it is a simple matter of record that Trump bashed the best (from Freedom's perspective) in Congress. Whom I did name by the way - the HFC.

Anyway, laughter is the best medicine (though illegal under TrumpRyanCare, I think) and clearly something ails you so I'll continue....

Since there is no single, objective definition of 'conservative', let's stick with what JimRob has on the site's Home Page:

-"We're working to roll back decades of governmental largesse"

-" Free Republic advocates a return to constitutionally limited government, reserving all government powers not expressly delegated by the constitution to the United States to the States respectively, or the people"

...and he goes on to quote the 9th and 10th amendments and Reagan to further support the site's devotion to the notion of limited government.

So THAT is this site's definition of 'conservative'. Or at least a very significant part of it.

Does that sound like Trump? Not even close!

He loves the entitlements which are the antithesis of limited central government. He campaigned on preserving them, for crying out loud.

By the way, when you feel the need to repeatedly tell everybody that other opinions are funny... usually just means the other guy is winning.

But, hey, I'm not tired of winning yet.
