Tucker Carlson says Trump is ‘not capable’ and hasn’t kept his promises

Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson set straight any misinformation concerning his views on President Trump: “I don’t think he’s capable,” he said during an interview on Tuesday.

Urs Gehriger, an editor at “Die Weltwoche,” the country’s leading German-language opinion weekly, noted that Carlson’s new book, “Ship of Fools,” is silent on Trump but comments on his critics. And so, Gehriger jump-started the conversation by asking what Carlson thought of Trump’s first two years in office.

Carlson said he cannot stand Trump’s self-aggrandizement and boasting. Then, when asked whether Trump has kept his promises, the usually quick-witted and long-winded Carlson had just one word: “No.”

We need to win back The Houses as the top priority along with re-election.

If you can’t admit Trump has made mistakes - YUGE mistakes. Or can’t admit he failed on some promises. Then you have a problem.

Don’t treat Trump like a deity. It’s not good for him or you.

This. Thank you. THIS.

first, it’a Swiss magazine, with a fairly ordinary circulation.

Wikipedia: Die Weltwoche is a Swiss weekly magazine based in Zürich. Founded in 1933, it has been privately owned by Roger Köppel since 2006...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_Weltwoche

second, in context the criticisms aren’t as bad as WaPo makes out.

calling Ocasio-Cortez “the future” seems ridiculous - but he doesn’t say if that would be a good or bad future.

Tucker’s program tonite was really annoying & I wrote some comments about it on an earlier FR thread, because he was allowing the FakeNewsMSM narrative to dominate re Mueller & the upcoming questioning of Comey. I wanted him to go on the offensive and bring up Mueller’s failure to investigate HRC/DNC/FusionGPS/FBI/CIA/DOJ/Obama Spygate facts. he didn’t.

still, it’s a disappointing interview and I’m now even more likely to only watch selected segments of Tucker’s show (that’s all I’ve ever done).

finally, President Trump has over-achieved. where he’s failed, e.g. Obamacare (blame McCain), the wall (blame the RINOS) etc...

President Trump cannot do everything on his own. as some have suggested, he’s not a dictator.

as for his boastfulness - when 90-plus percent of the FakeNewsMSM refuses to give him credit for anything, how else can he make his successes known to the public?

Well, to be accurate, Carlson’s daughter was also accosted in a truly disgusting way when she and her family were having dinner at a restaurant.

POTUS has Secret Service. FNC anchors don’t.

Yes, I said it. As much a I love many aspects of the man,
Trump absolutely is a big gov’t guy:

-He pushed TrumpRyanCare and bad-mouth the most Freedom-oriented caucus in the process.

-He loves the other federal entitlements which are opposite of the intentions of the Founder and opposite all the 9th / 10th amendment and Reagan quotes Mr Robinson lists on the Home Page.

-He even likes the godawful corn fuel subsidies.

-He advocates big fed spending on ‘infrastructure’.

De-regulation is great and he is fantastic on that front. But American style Freedom is an individual thing. I want him to essentially de-regulate / free my life from central govt influence/programs the same way he does it for business.

I fail to see what is so complicated about loving the good things about the prez and yet still wanting him to improve on his Freedom-lacking flaws. He is FAR from perfect and worshiping him instead of disciplining him when his is wrong is a big mistake.

You correct the ones you love.

Spare the rod and spoil the Don.

Did the former bow tie wearing RINO Tucker Carlson discuss his dissing of POTUS Trump on his Faux News show tonight? Or did Carlson not have the guts to say it ON THE AIR??

Oh good grief...you apparently do NOT understand simple English prose at all.

By saying that "you flatter yourself" and that "you're nothing whatsoever like Trump" are NOT contradictory statements and absolutely are both the same, complimentary things!

It's a pity that you are abjectly lacking in reading comprehension skills, unable to accept simple statements of fact, illogical too boot, AND patently ridiculous of you posting a LIE about what I have said.

And your preposterous assumptions about me would be funny, if it weren't for the fact that it is you who suffer from what you claim is wrong with me.

You're just making a complete fool of yourself and should stop digging that, by now, extremely deep hole.

Probably. At any rate, since it’s wapo, and they hate anyone who has a conservative thought (or in Tucker’s case, a libertarian thought) I don’t trust ANYTHING they say. And I’m giving Tucker the benefit of the doubt because of that, (and because he’s so darned cute).
