On Thanksgiving, Ezekiel Elliott dropped $21 and Dak Prescott into a giant Salvation Army kettle during a win over the Washington Redskins. His donation ended up costing him more than $13,000.

“I mean, I didn’t really expect a fine,” Elliott told reporters. “Really don’t care about the fine. It’s all for a good cause. We’re trying to bring awareness to the Salvation Army."

Never proven. Never convicted. Doesn't have to be "proven" or "convicted" in court according to NFL rules.

Why didn't he sue them?

He’s been a model citizen at least since then.

Since when? This past year?

Geez, that's a great track record.

I never said he had angelic qualities. Don’t be butt hurt because someone disagrees with you. The League stated that they have different standards than a civil or criminal prosecution. That means that they can suspend anyone that they want for any reason and that they themselves are the arbiters of deciding on any appeal. Truly a case of the fox guarding the hen house.

If the NFL were to be consistent on their standards, a great many players would be sitting at home during the season.
