I can only hope and pray both crews are alive and well.

Maybe real, maybe fake news.
Either way, aviation is always risky ... military aviation in particular.

Did 3 years at that duty station back in the early 80’s. Crashes although uncommon seemed to happen every year either in PI or Korea.

I’m here at Iwakuni and I did not hear anything about this yet, oh man.

I hit up task and purpose every now and then. Never saw much sketchiness.

Thanks for the corroborating link.
Yet another sobering reminder: Takeoff is optional. Landing is mandatory ...

Unfortunately, you do not bail out of a C-130. If the tanker was controllable after the mishap, crew members may have survived a water landing. Prayer up for their safety.

It’s true. My son is deploying in his KC135 tomorrow which has no parachutes. Tough as family awaits the news from this crash.

Eternal Father hear our plea for those in peril on the sea. Or as stated in the movie "The Right Stuff"....
Eternal Father hear our prayer for those in peril in the air.
Either way prayers up for all and the families

If they crashed while attempting to refuel, I doubt they were able to land. If one recovered, then it may have been the pilot of the aircraft being refueled.
