I mostly download podcasts that scrub the paid commercials. When doing so you discover that one hour of a radio show generally provides only 35 minutes of content. That is one reason why so many shows have incorporated embedded advertising wherein the host reads the ad copy like it is show content. By that scam even the “scrubbed” podcasts contain the advertising. I find this even on podcasts that are paid subscription only. that is why I do not often listen to the best show on the planet, The Chris Plante Show, because I cannot find it with the ads, news, traffic, etc., edited out. Why would I listen for three hours when there is only 90 minutes of content? The answer is, I won’t.
