My VVR coworker and I, just about did not make it up, and over the Kaiser pass on the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 27th, (elevation 9,184') as a winter storm slammed into the mountain range. Yikes! In error, we left about 24 hours too late, due to a storm moving in a day earlier than predicted. What a valuable lesson I learned, that I will never forget. They call those mountains- the big mountains for a reason.
