At least Notre Dame had the courage to SCHEDULE Michigan, Stanford, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Northwestern, Florida State, and Southern Cal, all very good programs. It is not Notre Dame’s fault that some of those schools had lackluster seasons. And there are still great athletes on most of those, too. At least they didn’t schedule the Citadel, or Georgia Southern, or Wofford. We all know who did.

Right. And as another poster says, it’s not Clemson’s fault if their opponents weren’t that strong either.

But ND’s first game was MI, AT MI! Even if they weren’t ranked, that’s a tough game!

Clemson’s first game was Furman (who??!!)

So actually it kind of IS Clemson’s fault. They scheduled a patsy.
