3. Actual shift of the earth’s axis (poles if you will): Imagine a spinning top. As it slows it begins to wobble. Suddenly it darts off in some odd direction.
*****************
Portions of scripture suggest that a massive shift will occur, resulting in people seeing the stars falling. If there is a radical shift, those on the earth will watch the clouds roll up and the stars streaming across the sky.

The ultimate result is Israel is always facing the sun, with no nights, just day. This is what the Arctic Circle experiences for many months each year.

The earth might end up with large portions of the earth in perpetual darkness, and large portions always experiencing daylight. If vegetables are large growing in Alaska, imagine the growth with permanent daylight.

Scriptures seem to suggest shifts have occurred in the past as well.

One example is Joshua 10:13:

So the sun stood still and the moon stopped until the nation took vengeance upon its enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? “So the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down almost a full day."

Another is Isaiah 38:8:

I will make the sun’s shadow that falls on the stairway of Ahaz go ten steps backward.

This would cause so much earthquakes and flooding it would be insane.

If just the earth stopped spinning slowly the seas would pool towards the northern latitudes. If it went off axis there would be so water displaces we would see tsunamis many miles high.

Unless it did this over the course of many years we would be almost certainly wiped out.
