Good lord this is hopeless with some here.
Doesn’t everyone here have a basic understanding of electrical power generation and distribution?
WTF, it’s not a “turbine” problem.
When an Nuclear EMP or Solar CME EMF pulse occurs, the subsequent electron wave is absorbed by MILES of power distribution lines and overloads any components attached to those electrical lines.
One of the most vulnerable critical infrastructure components are the relatively few high value large EHV transformers used for our high voltage power grid high tension power lines.
An EMP overload can burn out the windings of a transformer and make it completely inoperable.
Large EHV Transformers are made to order and can take two years just to manufacture one.
Many are manufacturered aboard, China, Portugal and Brazil, for instance where iron, and manufacturing expertise is realitively inexpensive.
Utility companies do not stock sufficient quantities of spares due to expense and custom configuration of EHV transformers.
That’s the crux issue.

Sorry I was thinking transformer but wrote turbine.
“the subsequent electron wave is absorbed by MILES of power distribution lines “
Your ignorance of the electrical distribution system allows you to think there are miles of lines without any protections.
