NOT ONE of my Seagate external hard drives failed me. I have a total of 8. 6 Seagate and 2 WD. I even have a 2006 external HD by Maxtor, before it was bought out by Seagate. And believe it or not, it still works.
50/50 on Seagate drives over the years.
I stick with Western Digital.
