Vanity - I can't help thinking that POTUS, Trump is happy that the GOP lost the House.

The odds of trump being re-elected are no better today than 50/50.

You mean if the democrats are allowed to cheat like they did three weeks ago.

Is your claim of Trump’s 50-50 chance “the mindset of Trump” or is it “the opposite of the mindset of Trump.”

Paul Ryan did very little to save GOP control of the House, seeming to avoid fundraising, campaigning, or encouraging independent campaign help for GOP House members and candidates. Rejecting any alliance with Trump, Ryan also declined to develop a common campaign strategy. Indeed, by remaining as Speaker instead of resigning and let someone else take the job, Ryan effectively blocked the GOP House caucus from doing what they needed to keep the House.

As for Trump, many endangered GOP House members represented districts that Clinton won and they were not eager to have Trump come campaign for them. Trump thus put his efforts into campaigning for Senate candidates who wanted his help and who were in states that he carried.

Once the House elected Ryan, an absolute TRUMP HATER, to be Speaker, Trump was through with them.

They picked a side...and Trump responded in kind.

Hey we got rid of dead wood like Mia Love who showed Trump no love. She’s never run again as a Republican. I’d say some progress was made here and there.

I’d like to see what the America thinks of Nancy’s plan to raise taxes and leave the border wide open.

Seems like the Dems have to propose things. Their trouble is they are deeply troubled about what to propose — the Bernie bots and Constant Moonbat Cortez are going to stir up trouble for them.

Ridiculous. Trump is a patriot and he knows that with the House they’d have got lots more important legislation passed—which he also of course could have run for reelection on. He’s now facing two years of stupid investigations from the House.

But yeah, the Senate the more important one, with the House perhaps flippable again in two years.

If you see Mia Love as dead wood it must be because you’re a termite.

Not good for the government when branches are not in balance

Why would we care about what is good for DC? The more tied up they are, the less they get done, the better for We The People.

Right. This was a disaster. We had a huge opportunity to win more Senate seats than we did, and should have held the House.

Yes, with the economy etc we should have picked up between 3-5 senate seats easy and held the house. Instead we lose 40 seats, and pick up 2 of 10 contested senate seats. Losing senate seats in states trump won by a landslide? How do you explain that? Disaster is the only realistic way of looking at this, and that is even before the dems start their BS in the house in January. People better wake up or 2020 will lose the senate and the White House. Unfortunately, people here want to believe anything positive whether it’s justified by the facts or not.

He didn’t rally for the House (the GOP House that didn’t get him the money together for the Wall) because he only has so much time, and the lame ass GOP couldn’t fight its own way out of a wet paper sack. However things the President cannot control work out, he will play the next hand he gets better than anyone else ever could.

This should be interesting.

The invisible elephant that nobody here sees is the violence towards Republicans by the the Left.
Sen. Paul’’s assault; the GOP softball practice shooting that maimed Rep. Scalise and the others; the Crozet, Va., chartered Congressional train that was rammed and derailed; and more than 25 other acts of violence that made congressional families decide to leave politics had a profound effect.
I think the GOP should have featured Democrat violence in its ads.

Watch and learn how much power the house has. When the pubbies got control over the house under Obama they acted like it was nothing. We will witness the true power of the house under dem leadership. It will be enormous.
