Hi again, guys. No, we are not cancelled. But we will have to wait until spring to hear if we are renewed for another season of 13. Thank you for being such a loyal audience. We shoot episode 13 tomorrow. Meanwhile you have four more episodes to enjoy starting with tonight.
“All is well!”
And this Diane English person has something to do with “Murphy Brown”?
Splinters.
That's why her acting, if you can call it that, is so wooden.
She’s going to need more provisional ballots than the Democrats in Georgia and Florida could muster combined. CBS had great hopes for the “Murphy Brown” reboot, one reason the network ordered 13 episodes and made it a part of their fall line-up. But it tanked, and tanked badly. Even the libs at CBS could see the hand-writing on the wall and pulled the plug. It was excruciatingly strident and preachy and not remotely funny.
Ms English would be better off trying to peddle her humorless sitcom to Netflix or Hulu. They seem to have enough money to waste on marginal projects. CBS will never order another episode of Murphy Brown, in the spring of 2019, or any other time.
Meanwhile, Tim Allen continues to dominate Friday nights with “Last Man Standing.” Remember, ABC decided no one would watch a conservative in a sitcom these days, so they pulled the plug. Fox picked the show up and it’s probably the best programming decision they made all year. Of course, CBS could have joined the bidding war for “Last Man Standing,” but they had the same mindset as the empty suits at ABC. And besides, they had that “can’t miss” Murphy Brown reboot in the works.
From my post on 24 October:
“The World Series will be over by the end of October. How will they explain the ratings crater in November? Ill offer the same prediction now as I did before the shows debut last week. It will be pulled from the schedule (going on hiatus in the biz) by January and never return. Official cancellation notice in late spring/early summer.
Cue to Roseanne laugh.”
I’m anything but a TV prophet. But when ABC dropped Roseanne from the reboot, it was doomed. Like Murphy Brown, you will never see another episode of The Connors. Just waiting for the first cast member to blame “bigoted” viewers for the show’s demise.
Yeah, I’m a bigot. I’m deeply opposed to sitcoms that aren’t the least bit funny.
Should be cancelled and never revived again.
Yup
Yup. The agenda comes first.
hohohoLOL!
It was probably getting smoked by fifty-year old reruns of Hogan’s Heroes on MeTV.
