I hope she realizes that most of America loves her
I wish she realized that anything given to Red Cross is just as likely to end up in the hands of a terrorist in the middle east as an American service member.
Never, ever give anything to the Red Cross.
As an organization they epitomize "From each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs."
There is no way to direct a Red Cross donation. They are a "global citizen" and your donation is distributed accordingly.

Very true, but Mr and Mrs Average Citizen don’t know that.
The Red Cross has a very good PR arm that keeps their more nefarious dealings from reaching the memories of Mr and Mrs Average Citizen.
Imagine the outrage if FLOTUS was photographed doing something for the Salvation Army.
