Christian singer Lauren Daigle has faced some backlash for appearing on the talk show of Ellen DeGeneres but she says her critics are missing the 'heart of God'.

The singer was invited to perform on The Ellen Show following the release of her hugely successful album 'Look Up Child', which debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and number 1 in the Christian charts.

Daigle took some heat from fans for singing 'Still Rolling Stones' off her new album, but she told Way FM Radio that Ellen had chosen the song.

Opinions were split when Daigle posted a video of the performance to her Instagram page, with some being angry that she had appeared on the show of an openly gay host.

Responding to the criticism, Daigle told Way FM Radio that Christians should be kind to everyone.

'I think the second we start drawing lines around which people are able to be approached and which aren't, we've already completely missed the heart of God,' Daigle said.

'I don't have all the answers in life, but one thing I know is that I can't choose who I'm supposed to be kind to and who I'm not, because that's the mission right? Be who Christ was to everyone as well.'

Daigle has also confirmed she will be making her debut on 'The Tonight Show' with Jimmy Fallon on November 7.

In a post to Instagram, she said it was a 'personal dream' to appear on the show.

'So excited to announce that I will be on @jimmyfallon! I always said that if I ever make it on @fallontonight, I would run and slide on his desk. That would be my dream entrance. Who knows what could happen,' she wrote.

[[You ignore the real point that the apostles wondered why he would give known bad eggs the time of day and He told them]]

I’m not missing hte point- that wasn’t what the discussion was about- and I made clear that we as Christians need to itneract with unsaved, but there is a fien line, and pointed out that no- Jesus didn’t ‘hang with unsaved people’ like some
Christians claim we should in order to ‘give them the gospel’- There is no evidence that Jesus hung out with unsaved people while they were engaged in sinful activities- These unsaved people sought Jesus out looking for healing- Jesus wasn’t ‘hanging out with them hoping to give the gospel ‘at some point’ like so many Christians do today- He gave them the gospel flat out unafraid of them rejecting Him- He wasn’t there to socialize, He was there to save-

[[but one who uses an offshoot article (in “The Blaze” no less) instead of the actual Bible to rebut a comment about what the Bible says might not care what the Bible says.]]

Oh, I see- so man has absolutely nothing to say that is worth anything? Really? Wo0w! The article was pointing out facts about the reason why Jesus associated with sinners- The article was infact pointing to acts in the bible and explaining what it meant and what it didn’t mean- to suggest that the article isn’t legit because it isdn’t strictly verse by verse bible is silly-

[[might not care what the Bible says.]]

LOL- yeah ok fella- whatever-

Goodness- you either didn’t read the thread, or it is you who are ignoring what the discussion is about- The discussion isn’t about whether Jesus had dealings with unsaved- Obviously He did- The discussion was about the false claim that Jesus ‘hung out with the unsaved’ that many Christians use falsely as their excuse to hang with the unsaved- They aren’t there to witness- they are there to participate in sinful activities- Jesus did NOT associate with sinners to share in their sin, or to ignore it- He CONFRONTED their sin- How many Christians using that excuse meet with the unsaved to confront them about their sin?- That was the whole jist of the discussion- not sure why you jumped in in an antagonistic manner? Did you not read the article i posted to?

Noone is saying we shouldn’t have associations with the unsaved- You have completely missed the point of the discussion here- and seem compelled to argue simply for the sake of argument-

[[instead of the actual Bible to rebut a comment about what the Bible says]]

Pssst- noone is rebutting what the bible says- We have been explaining the facts- Explaining that the bible isn’t giving Christians license to partake in sinful activities with the unsaved while using the false claim that ‘it’s ok because Jesus hung out with sinners’ so please- stop with the accusations- You’ve totally misunderstood the discussion- and thrown out a false accusation that i must not care about what the bible says because i ‘cite an article on a website’- Really? Wow!
