The NFL sucks. There may be an uptick in viewership for the moment, but the same Soy Boys run the NFL as before. Moreover, the sports media is full of Soy Boys. It’s just a matter of time before lame rules, protesting, and/or a strike bring it back down to Earth.
The sport is becoming more like Arena/Canadian/Flag football every day. You can see the crisis that the league is in by the horribly inconsistent refereeing. Watch one game and see people get ejected for targeting, then when the league realizes that it’s ejecting too many people for just trying to honestly tackle someone, they stop calling in other “obvious” situations.
All the media morons are thumping their chests about the high scoring game between the Rams and Chiefs last week. If I wanna see easy scoring and non-existent defense, I’ll watch basketball.
There is almost certainly a players strike coming. The Le’ Veon Bell holdout here in Pittsburgh is telegraphing this. They are going to walk out over the franchise tag.
Unfortunately more will probably stop watching for that reason than the fact that they let their players use our flag as toilet paper.
There is no defense being played whatsoever. The soy boys like that too. It ain’t football, its a game that resembles football somewhat, but it’s not football.
Yeah, the score in that game told me that the “best” 2 teams in the NFL have no defense. Kinda reminds me of Superbowl XLVIII. Denver was the “best offense ever” and expected to rout Seattle, only to lose 43-8. If either the Rams or the Chiefs make the Superbowl against ANY team with a decent defense, I would pick the team with the defense.
That actually was a good game, neither defense could stop anything but both had defensive touchdowns so it wasn’t just a track race like most NFL games have become. It was indicative of the “new” NFL, though: teams sign a boatload of free agents with the money they save from lucking into a good rookie QB on a rookie’s contract, try to win a super bowl quickly before the window closes and that QB starts demanding the big bucks. Meanwhile Defenses around the league are so hamstrung by idiotic new rules that offenses can easily put 40 points up a game.
It’s boring. We already have this no-defense football, it’s called the Big 12.
