If the average temperature decreased *to* 2 degreees C, the planet would be a snowball.

Looking up a handy dandy converter, 2 degrees Celsius would be 35.6 degrees Fahrenheit. In other words, 3.6 degrees above freezing.

I don't think the earth has ever had an average temperature of 2 degrees C.
