"...after video seems to show rat cooking"

So, they skipped the robots and went to rats?

Hawaii burger eatery closes after video seems to show rat cooking

Seems to me that a rat that can cook might be a pretty good curiosity draw.
They just need the right marketing angle.

Hey, if the rat can cook burgers better than humans, why not give him a chance?

Wel, heck, a couple Filipino groundskeepers were busted for catching some guy’s dog and eating it. Is not rat on a stick an appetizer for them as well?

seems the POS that did it should be charged with a felony since the cost of cleanup let alone loss of business should surely be in the tens of thousands of dollars

Back in the 70s there was a Philippine company marketing canned rat meat in North America under the label Star (rats spelled backwards) Meats.

Also saw a documentary on companies who paid farmers to round up rice paddy rats which are large and they then processed the meat for sale.

Rat is probably tasty, like squirrel and rabbit.

When they eat rat on the Survivor TV show, they remark on it being pleasant.
