How about New York. No University of New York.
The Florida Gators have a long history of discipline issues. Mullen no doubt realizes that he has to get and keep his players under control.
No love lost between these two rivals located 12 miles apart! I didn’t see the game so I didn’t see the brawl. It wasn’t on TV in my area so I had to keep up with the score online.

Correct, all NY State schools go by their local moniker. Buffalo being the largest with 30,000 students. New York has a very dispersed college system with 64 campuses across the state.
I watched the game and heard the announcers talk about the large number of Sillynole penalties. They then said Tagaart is an excellent recruiter like that is going to fix terrible coaching which is the only reasonable explanation for the large number of 1/2SU penalties.
Taggart will only last three more seasons if next year is a repeat of this year. Two of those years will be because Taggart voted for Guillium and Bill Nelson. /sarc
Tagged looked lost on sideline. He’s had enough time to build discipline by now. Noles are boring this year - their fans are reading novels during the games!
Thank You FSU for taking him away from Oregon. He is an opportunistic. Instead of coming to Oregon and build a career for the long run, he wanted to take a short cut. Good luck lasting there in FSU.
Three? Maybe two more season. You cant afford to suck in the state of FL too long, or you lose recruits to the other schools, like Miami, UF, and now UCF.
This was a tough quiz. I had to use Wikipedia to scan down all the University of’s they listed by state.
Send Rutgers to a bowl game, they earned it.......
State sucks
U of M sucks
Lions suck
Tigers suck
Pistons suck
Red Wings suck
It's been a banner year for Michigan sports teams.....Not!
If you do some digging, you will find that the official name of the school is “Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.”
New York is a possibility too....although there is a SUNY, there is no “main” campus, and they’re not Division I. Also New York University, but so far as I know, that’s in reference to the city rather than the state.
Louisiana has University of Louisiana Monroe (the former Northeast Louisiana), and Louisiana Lafayette (the former Southwest Louisiana)...neither is the “main” campus.
Nevada Reno is actually the main campus, although Nevada Las Vegas is a bigger campus now. For that matter, UCLA might be bigger than Berkeley.
I was referring to using the state name as the moniker in sports. There are many schools in each state that could be considered the flagship campus, but only two states don’t have a school that uses the state name to refer to a specific school in sports.

Yes, as I noted it is the State U of NJ, but they go by Rutgers.

All of the SUNY schools use thier location name as their moniker. NYU is a private university that has very little sports to begin with.
Louisiana has University of Louisiana Monroe (the former Northeast Louisiana), and Louisiana Lafayette (the former Southwest Louisiana)...neither is the main campus.
Louisiana is a sticky wicket to this as they have a couple of schools that use Louisiana that are smaller than LSU which is pretty much goes by LSU.
Nevada Reno is actually the main campus, although Nevada Las Vegas is a bigger campus now. For that matter, UCLA might be bigger than Berkeley.
Nevada Reno is Nevada in the sports world. Sports wise Berkeley is California which I did not know was the same school until a couple of years ago. The school has two different personalities.
