This is news?
“A turkey sandwich is not the same w/o lettuce and tomato to adorn it. Slather bread with mayo, a little salt, potato chips, and dig in. (Note to self: pick up loaf of Wonder Bread!)”
I agree with you!
Of course I:
Grow lettuce, chard, cukes, tomatoes and peppers year around and make fantastic home made bread (in a bread machine).
No-one craps on my veggies!
And in the case of a chef’s salad, indulging in deli ham & turkey, grated cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and croutons...in addition to the dressing. Hey, it IS a salad!
And no MSM newsperson ever opines how a
Bacteria generally borne from human intestines mingles
with agricultural rows of produce, as if it were a
natural unavoidable occurrence-part and parcel of
the food chain
For the last 50 years (before I was even born!) our family tradition has been to have lasagna and homemade Caesar salad (with homemade croutons, raw egg, anchovies etc) the day BEFORE Thanksgiving. This was the first year we made the salad with something other than romaine. I used a mixture of butter lettuce, endive hearts, and iceberg as a substitute. Really wasn’t all that good. Caesar really has to be from romaine.
You know, my son hates Pres. Trump yet he eats just the way President Trump does. The only vegetables my son approves of are (processed) coffee beans and chocolate beans. I think that everyone who hates Trump and wants nothing to do with him, and be nothing like him, should be consistent, and become vegans.
I saw a comment about this particular strain. It’s another outbreak, which implies that the CDC/Ag Dept did not “fix” the source of the original outbreak, hence one of the reasons for getting rid of all current romaine is to help CYA the bureaucrats’ own ineptness.
Lol. Same with chips and dip.
Good thing is that POTUS never comments on what you eat!
