“Do you think DJT really thinks that he can make Birthright Citizenship (the 14th Amendment) go away with an Executive Order? If you really think that, you’re not paying attention.
The 14th Amendment, specifically the clause about being under “the jurisdiction of the Constitution” has never been reviewed by the Supreme Court. Trump knows that if he signs an Executive Order, he’ll be sued by some liberal state (like Washington) and the case will go in front of the Supreme Court.
Then, they will be forced to make a ruling/interpretation of the Constitution and the matter will be settled. And who owns the Supreme Court? Oh yeah, the Republicans do.”
Does the emailer really believe Mr. Trump does not already know all of the potential outcomes that would follow from such an executive order? It would be what you might call a test case. He’s a daisy if it does it.
