According to wiki they are considered an extremist group. He was a founder of Vice (before selling it). Does that mean his publication was a hate tract? Or do his critics alledge that he was radicalized?

Likely the dumb@ss FBI had them on their extremist list. Also likely that the FBI has infiltrated the PB. As for Antifa, the FBI seems to be ok with them.
