I saw the original Rolling Stones during their 1966 American tour. Never imagined they would still be at it.

Pass. However, definitely one of my favorite all time bands. I’ll listen to my pre 70s Stones, at home.

At 75, I’d be seriously thinking about where I want to spend eternity, did I live to glorify God and keep his commandments, did I bring people to Christ, am I covered by the blood in the judgement, etc. etc. And reading my Bible everyday and the good news of forgiveness and the gospel. Especially if I lived a life of writing, singing and performing unGodly music, and a life of sex, drugs and rock and roll.

But hey, that’s just me.

Saw them in Raleigh, NC at NC State in 1988?

Jagger started Sympathy for the Devil while standing on the top of the light stage...

The whole show was a huge sing a long with Mick.

Saw both the Beatles and Stones in Philadelphia on their first U.S. tours in 1964. I was 17 and decided that the former were for the girls and the latter for the men. Still pertains. When Trump had “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” playing at his events during the primary season, I knew we were in for something real special. Started me up.

I was stunned to see Neil Merryweather has a new LP this year.

How old is he?

Saw them in New Orleans at the Superdome, December 5, 1981.

Great show and a lot of fun. The whole thing had a festive, uplifting atmosphere.

Tickets were $17.50 general admission and I spent my night on the floor right in front of the stage.

The indoor fireworks display at the end of the show was phenomenal.

I saw them in the late 70s Miss You tour. Opening act Kansas blew them off the stage.

Mick seemed old and tired, Kansas was worried about their fiddles and stuff would get wet.

Peter Tosh said let it rain!

Saw them at the cotton bowl. 1979 or so. Two backup bands. Sammy Hagar (pre Van Halen), and ZZ Top. Whole show was excellent!

Yep, a cold rainy day. Both Tosh and Kansas were better than the Stones. I remember Tosh lit up a big spliff while singing the song “legalize it”.

I think it was ‘81 when I saw them live. They had just released “Tattoo You”, and “Start Me Up” was a big hit at the time. Great show. I think a show from that tour was released as a video.

During the Stones first tour in '64, they played here in Dayton, OH shortly after their appearance on Ed Sullivan.

Although I didn't go, I still vividly recall the next day newspaper had a VERY small piece mentioning 400 were attendance.

Excerpt from newspaper report:
And the Stones didn’t really give their faithful much opportunity. They were on stage less than 20 minutes, did eight numbers — or whatever designation is given the component parts of their brand of noise.

The shortage of demonstrative spontaneity was especially noticeable when the Stones arrived at the arena.

Some of the 20 or 30 feminine fans had been awaiting them for a half-hour or more. Yet, there was scarcely a squeal as the unkempt quartet skipped through the entrance.
