He learned at the feet of Andy Taylor. Andy Griffith was well-known as a screaming leftist and quite the ass in his native state of NC. “Mayberry” is beloved, but many if not most of the actors playing major characters are not. The late Aunt Bea, Frances Bavier, is the only one other than Andy Griffith to demonstrate any actual affection for the place, she retired here but was a tad strange in her later years. Early in her retirement she was very accessible and pleasant, appeared in small town parades and such as guest of honor, loved every minute of it.
.....and Grandpa on the Walton’s!?!?!!
This is the root of the distaste I have for people who pretend to be other people. Especially ones who create organizations around their lying profession to grant each other awards. I think these people should be shunned in public and not allowed a public opinion because they have already proven thru their profession to be manipulative, lie and create fantasy for their own gain.
But what do I know. I only get to vote once in all the elections.
One day while watching the Andy Griffith Show the undercurrent of progressivism became very clear to me. Talk about situational ethics and pragmatism, that show and many others that otherwise conservative people encouraged their children to watch are awful.
Want to get flamed? Tell the truth about Andy Griffith.......and many other beloved characters that conservatives love to long for in the good ole days in television shows.
