Don Shula did that for a couple of decades after his last Super Bowl win.
He and Tom Landry both had the game pass them by. It was a shame. I liked Shula, but in an era when there was no salary cap, he should have won 3 or 4 super bowls with Marino, the Marx Brothers and the Killer B’s on that defense. It’s actually mind boggling that they only made it to one.
