Deutsche Welles Spanish language channel, DW Español, traveled to Tijuana in order to interview some of the migrants living in the camps. A reporter asked one of the migrants how the living conditions were in the camp. The woman complained about the food she had been given in the camp, calling it food for pigs and saying she would die of hunger if she did not eat it.

She looks fairly healthy. More so than one supposedly walked hundreds of miles in past few weeks. So she is eating something.......
*she said as she oinked and snuffled down the free food*
Sometimes even pigs get it right.
If you were walking forty miles a day (flat surface) for two or three weeks, without losing weight, you’d have to consume around 3,000 to 3,500 calories per day. In her case, I’d take a guess that she walked no more than two or three days, and the rest spent on some truck/bus.
All of this is pretty faked-up. Maybe a quarter of the crowd are walking just to be dramatic in nature, for pictures. But they probably only walk every fourth-day, and the rest all have some truck/bus arrangement.
Something about beggars being choosers comes to mind. SMH
“Refried beans, as if they were feeding the pigs.”
Pigs eat pretty well in Honduras. And so must the complainer if she doesn’t consider refried beans food for people. I was taught that beans were a good source of protein.
You get what you pay for. Often less.
I find myself in agreement with the Hondurans about Mexican food, and with the Mexicans about the merits of the caravaners.
a quick keyword search for Honduran foods says meat is a primary ingredient in most dishes. And they are partial to fast food. Guats also like meat - in soups and stews. But meat for 3,000 people every day is expensive. And if the Guats and Hons could afford meat every day back home, why are they really migrating?

What’s she been feasting on for the past 3 weeks?
Give her Mexican army MRE.
Take a look. All the women are overweight. These are NOT Central Americas poor. Trust me. I would have no problem in Hondo finding 10,000 skinny poor people.
My guess is that there are a bunch of fast food joints in TJ. Probably, right across the street.
40 miles a day? Ive done 20 miles a bunch of times. The weight falls off. 3500 calories is light. 40 miles is more like 5000 a day, easy.
These people walked nowhere.
Anyone read the story about the San Fran judge ordering Trump to let these INVADERS in?? I don’t think anyone on Freep posted this yet...

Imagine when that entitled sh!t arrives here...
Don’t let them in! There is no reason to pack this country with more freeloaders! How about taking care of our own, instead! The thousands in Cali, displaced by the wildfires? Send these ungrateful pigs back to the land whose flag they wave boldly in our face!
I agree; a more capable government here would have blown every bridge between that criminal army and our border.
This time of the year, like “back to school” time, the TV is filled with images of unassimilated minorities being handed free sh!t in our cities. Why double the number?
And, the reason why we want these people to be in our country again??
