More specifically, if the government is free to do as it will, as FDR and the progressives before him sought to bring about, especially if “for our own good” then We The People will be less free and more servants of it, here to fund it and be the objects under every whim of the institutional elites that run it.
But if the government is bound under proverbial iron chains, as the Constitution sought to do, We The People have liberty.
In summation: a free government, Arbitrary covernment leads to even enslaved and subservient people, to “subjects” rather than “citizens” at a minimum; a free people need a Limited Government.
In other words...
If you are afraid to speak out against tyranny, you’re already a slave.
