similar thing happened when I was in school about 1970 ...
very few queers ... they were obvious, but very few ...
then they hired a new gym teacher for the girls ...
turns out she was a lezzie ...
a year or 2 later, the graduating class had about 50 lezzies ...

They are pushing it to promote ancillary research on retarding aging with hormone blockers, and to eventually produce more passable and permanently child like ladyboys for the sex trade.
This was going on clandestinely in Cambodia fifteen years ago. A Vietnamese online paper did an expose, but it was completely scrubbed from the internet abou a year and a half after it was posted. Now it is coming openly to the west, with the children groomed for it rather than bought and forced.
