LOUISVILLE, KY (AP) - A state senator in Kentucky says companies should be allowed to discriminate against people who smoke.
Republican Sen. John Schickel of Union pre-filed his proposal this week. The bill would remove smokers from the protected classes outlined in Kentuckys employment anti-discrimination law and allow employers to lawfully refuse to hire or terminate people who smoke.

Screw this guy and you Freepers here cutting on tobacco users.....We would not have a Constitutional Republic if it wasnt for TOBACCO.....you few who are ranking on smokers are terrible especially the guy who used to smoke!...Nothing worse than a reformed smoker of drinker.
Ha Ha, preach it brother! I lost everything including the roof over my head late last year, and have been doing heavy manual labor construction crap almost all year in MI and now IN. No missed days for me and no coughing or wheezing at age 54, as I’m carrying cement siding and trash for most of the 11-hour workday. Boss no longer gives me hell over smoking.
