Don't be so hard on the possibility of college players beating NFL players. There used to be a College All-Star game at the beginning of the season featuring the defending NFL champions against a bunch of college all-stars. The college all stars won several times and were competitive most of the time. In 1963, they defeated Vince Lombardi's Packers 20-17.

The record when the game ended in 1976 was NFL 31 wins, All Stars 9 wins, and two ties.

I never knew that. Thank you, but that was a long time ago before my time. Bama is good, but they aren’t an All-Star team. The NFL is a completely different animal than back in the early 60’s too. The only thing that would be accomplished is a bunch of much younger guys getting schooled and quite likely hurt. The speed of the NFL is incomparable overall to college teams. But I stand by Bama playing a Canadian pro team. THAT might be interesting.
