breast pumps are time consuming and pretty silly when you think about it..and using the bottle pretty much destroys the mother/baby bond that is supposed to be the main reason to encourage nursing a young baby....

maybe men can stop scratching their privates in public and "adjusting" themselves in public......geesh...

Adjusting yourself and whipping it out are two different things.
How about being discreet. Bowl movements are natural and healthy too, should we allow that in public? I mean outside of San Francisco.

Women adjust themselves in public as much as men - adjusting their bra strap and boobs, pulling down their skirts, walking funny when their thong gets wonky, crossing and uncrossing their knees when they have a itch up there... geesh...

No, breast pumps are a modern convenience that allow nursing mothers to continue feeding breast milk in a variety of situations where removing one’s top is not appropriate. No one is suggesting expressed breast in bottles is the only way to feed infants, except you, and your weak straw man.

I’m an old fashioned guy.
I have no problem with a lady breastfeeding in public. I just ask that they use some discretion. A small light blanket or towel draped across the shoulder covering the feeding child is plenty of discretion for me.

Many times I have been in the presence of breastfeeding mothers. They ALWAYS covered and maintained their modesty. If someone like the subject of the article had flopped out her breast and stuck her brat on I would have asked her if she had no modesty. I would have told her I am neither her husband, boyfriend nor the baby’s father therefore I have zero interest in her exhibitionism. Cover that gland up!

And for the record when I have to scratch or adjust in public I do it discretely or visit the bathroom.

Silly me...I thought breast pumps were for working mothers when their child wasn't present.

It’s A reason, and a good reason, but not the main reason.

Especially if they keep doing it continuously for 5-15 minutes. Moreso if they are doing it above the table during meal-time.
