Actually, my ancestral grandfather [...]

Isn't every grandfather ancestral? What else could he be, but ancestral? He sure can't be your descendant!

Perhaps the word you were looking for is "great-great-great-grandfather," or "great-great-great-great-grandfather," or "direct ancestor."

I didn’t mean to create an issue. As I mentioned, I just short-cut the great, great, great, great, great grandfather thing and used ancestral. Thanks for the correction.......

I also have compassion for the native Indians, very much so. But I don’t understand the current theme of wanting to find Native American DNA in our blood, it seems to be a trend and I just wanted to give a different perspective, having ancestors who were brutally murdered in an Indian massacre. In another post on this thread, i noted that my ancestor was a devout Mennonite and a preacher. He was a pacifist and did not own guns, ironically his wife and many children were scalped, which I find to be an issue even then with the second amendments which didn’t even exist at that time.
