The vaunted “press corp” of today is trying to ride on the backs of the great war time reporters of yesteryear, or the old “gum shoes” who pounded the streets in the rain under a fedora with their coat collar turned up.
The modern crop of “journalists” are juveniles. They are celebrities, but can’t hold a candle to the old investigative reporter, so they “virtue signal”.
As for FOX, they were virtue signaling. Key words were in the FAUX statement.. “free press”, “access” and “exchange of ideas”.
What a crock. That FOX statement is a virtuous-sounding canard.
Everybody knows the WH Press Corp is a rowdy mob obviously playing district attorney, adjudicating their case against the president and/or Sarah Sanders. In a Grand Jury setting, jurors hear only the prosecutor’s case. This setting is their model. Their behavior bears that out.
More evidence (as if any is needed) that Fox is almost as bad as the others. They kindly allow a few good people on for now.
