The 171st pick in last year's draft, Peterman was dubbed a sleeper pick at the time....

A sleeper pick who never woke up. Not like Ryan Leaf or many other high picks who flamed out. As the 171st pick a team is not taking a big risk.

Drafting is a very inexact science. One never knows how any of these guys are going to work out. So many can't-miss prospects are gone within a couple of years whereas late rounders grow into HoFers (see Tom Brady).

This is a pretty harsh review of Peterman by the Bills.

No offensive line and barely a training camp to catch up to the speed of the NFL game.

We're not talking a generational talent like Darnold or Wentz, after all.
