It's to persuade the uncommitted to buy your product.

I think that is exactly who they are going after with this- they are essentially telling people who are on the fence not to be worried about aborting even the most adorable children.

Humanity rolled back one election cycle and one ad buy at a time.

That's true, but that doesn't mean it will be persuasive to that audience. Ultrasound pictures are very persuasive, toward life, with the most vulnerable audience, women who are already at a crisis pregnancy center or clinic. It's possible this ad will emphasize, "It's a baby!" much more than the producers expect.
