Having multiple heart surgeries, and living with blood thinners, I can’t consume alcohol anymore at all. I used to love a cold beer, or more, on a hot day. And for many years, one of the most used products to put back water for athletes to fight dehydration was beer.
I asked my nurse in cardiology why I can’t have alcohol. She sternly told me that alcohol and blood thinners do the same thing and if I consumed, it would be dangerous.
Now you know what I suggested...I’ll just stop the pills and drink. Hope she doesn’t get to give me an injection soon. That look she gave me knocked me back about a foot. I don’t think I have the imagination as to how or where she’ll stick that shot I mentioned

They only told me, “in moderation”.
