Dittos to what you said.I just went thru one up here a bit ago. Everything burned around and up to my home’s established fire perimeter, which is about about 250 feet out, and 360 degrees around the house. (A few beyond brave firefighters stayed up here engulfed in the hell keeping my home soaked and sprayed down was another big reason it didn’t burn also. Those guys are unbelievable!) The fire, caused by a downed power line, moved up here FAST. I was given 1 minute to evacuate and the fire was every where as I drove down. A freakin’ mightmare. I still haven’t got over the sights and sounds of it, let alone what things look like now. I didn’t hear if anything was left for about 4 days and it was 8 days before I was allowed back up here. Hang in there, prayers up for ya dat.
So glad you got out safe and you still have your house. People say a lot of meaningless platitudes at times like these. It just sucks and is very scary. May God bless you in this trying time
