I based my comment solely on the thought that a "republican" form of government would be an improvement on the EU as it is currently constituted (i.e. as an unaccountable monarchy run by European elites and Brussels bureaucrats).
Yeah, because they see how well our republic is working out when there is too much diversity.
Nobody in Europe understands the concept of a republic in US terms. Take note of their intent to disestablish “states” and compare it with the US republic’s imperative to protect the rights of states. They’re pushing a highly-centralized socialist republic in the USSR’s mold, as I noted.
Citizens cannot be sovereign if they don’t even have basic freedom of speech.
“Artists and intellectuals” = Enemedia way to say “hard-line Communists”.

Well, imagine all states being disestablished in the USA and all government administered from DC. That’s what this Balcony Project wants.
