I tried to read their manifesto but it wouldn't open in my browser.
I based my comment solely on the thought that a "republican" form of government would be an improvement on the EU as it is currently constituted (i.e. as an unaccountable monarchy run by European elites and Brussels bureaucrats).

Yeah, because they see how well our republic is working out when there is too much diversity.

Nobody in Europe understands the concept of a republic in US terms. Take note of their intent to disestablish “states” and compare it with the US republic’s imperative to protect the rights of states. They’re pushing a highly-centralized socialist republic in the USSR’s mold, as I noted.
