Las Vegas Sportsbook Sets Bills as 28.5-Point Favorites in Hypothetical Matchup With Alabama

The Bills and Crimson Tide have existed on opposite planes in their respective leagues this season with Buffalo sitting in the AFC East cellar at 2–7 and Alabama cruising toward an undefeated season at 9–0. It's a common practice to compare the best college team to the dregs of the NFL and while the debate can provide a fun parlor game, it exists fully as a hypothetical.

Yet despite the lack of on-field feasability, Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook is bringing a touch of reality to the matchup by setting the Bills as 28.5-point favorites against Alabama per OddsShark.

Exactly. It would be a bloodbath. A bad NFL squad on their worst day would look like the 85 Bears against Alabama or any of the best college teams of all time. I’d take anyone’s 28.5 point bet and will be covering by the mid-second quarter. It would probably end up like 50 or 60 to zero, maybe worse.

They would hang 50 on Alabama…. They hung 48 on Georgia and they hung 45 on Texas. We just have no defense.

Alabama is not that good. OU would hang over 50 points on them...

So Bama would win 100-50.

Much worse. The Bills would score 100 points, easily. The Bama QB would be sacked every time he stepped back to pass (unless he managed to throw the ball away first).

The Bills' D line would go through the Bama OL like paper, negating any possible play making Bama had in mind.

And when the Bills had the ball, the O line would open holes as wide as they wanted. They could run all day, never attempt a pass and still have 700+ yards of offense. Easily.

I just wish they would do one of these games once maybe for charity or something with say a 50 point mercy rule to end this dumb parlor game once and for all. All of the Bills players would be all-stars on Alabama and only a handful of Alabama’s players would even make the Bills’s squad.

Bama would stomp a mudhole in Oklahoma and then walk it dry

But the Alabama players are getting paid more than the pros.

Nah... Bama is over rated. Even ESPN Gameday this morning said they have a lousy strength of schedule.

Maybe Bama should have scheduled a game against their second string
