people in their mid-80s can tumble over very easily... doesn’t require any external “cause” in many cases.... or can trip, slip, etc. very easily. Has happened with multiple elderly relatives of mine over the years.
The falling is often caused by a loss of balance-——just bending slightly the wrong way can cause a fall.
