President Donald Trump praised Republicans for expanding their majority in the Senate on Wednesday, while offering harsh criticism to GOP House members — including Utah’s Rep. Mia Love — who failed to wholeheartedly embrace his agenda.
Trump said Love had called him “all the time” asking for help freeing Utahn Josh Holt, who had been imprisoned in Venezuela. But her re-election campaign distanced itself from his administration, the president said, which led to her poor performance in Utah’s 4th Congressional District.
“Mia Love gave me no love and she lost,” Trump said. “Too bad. Sorry about that, Mia.”
Love is currently trailing her Democratic challenger, Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams, by less than 3 percentage points. A significant number of ballots remain uncounted in Salt Lake and Utah counties, leaving the race too close to call until new totals are released.

Gee, it’s almost the Leftist Media is hoping she will pull off the Win because POTUS Trump dissed her. LOL
Ms. Love bought the “he’s a racist” line that was being pushed by the MSM. Her parents are immigrants.
Ms. Love had a hard time with the “following the law” part of immigration which I’m sure her constituents probably supported.
Don’t know about her district but her attitude above probably did cost her the votes she needed to win due to her indifference.

Love thought she held some kind of moral high ground over Trump. She proved to be just another follower who drank the Koolaid that Trump was a bad guy, racist, whatever.
Karma got her.
I don’t hope she loses. Ms. Love made some mistakes during her tenure that cost her the votes she needed to win.
Ms. Love used the “race” card against the President unfairly IMHO. Even though I’m a reliably consistent Republican voter I can understand why some may not have this time.
Actually Heller eventually embraced POTUS and actively campaigned with him. POTUS held a rally in NV on his behalf. Unfortunately it’s getting harder and harder for Republicans to win in this once Red state.

My path was the same as yours. I was a Scott Walker supporter during the primaries. I voted for Trump of course in 2016, but was skeptical of him. I agreed with what he was saying but thought that he was just saying things to get elected like every other politician.
Boy, was I wrong!! Once Mia saw ‘Promises Made, Promises Kept’, she should have jumped on the bandwagon. I’ve disagreed with some of the things that Trump has said, but this was mild and humorous. People need to quit having such thin skin. Cue the Loverboy song ‘Lovin’ Every Minute of It’!!!
As I recall the very first bill after Trump’s inauguration involved DACA. And both Love and Martha McSally voted against Trump (and Americans). Love lost, and McSally is fighting for her life. It didn’t have to be that way. Stupid. Trump is right.
