The best news is that the Senate is now stronger and more in President Trump's corner than it has ever been. Punks like McCain are dead. The dorm room Polaroids of Lindsey have been buried with McQueeg. Murkowski and Collins can't showboat like prima donnas anymore, and even if they did it matters not. Everyone is on notice that hitching your wagon to President Trump's star is a sure path to success.

As previously reported by FOX Business, Goldman Sachs’ political economists believe Democrats will gain control of the House and the Republicans will retain a slim Senate majority after midterms. A divided Congress would mean increased equity volatility and an uncertain future for infrastructure spending while pharmaceutical stocks could benefit, the bank’s analysts explained in a research note.

The stock market fares fare the worst, in the short-term, when both the House and the Senate flip, dropping over 1 percent in the month following the election. There may have been a few victories at the local state level (which probably involves idiosyncrasies unique to those localities), but looking at the map of congressional races and one can see large expanses of red. This in turn basically showing that getting tough on guns likely turned out to be that liability again for the Democrats.
