Hopefully the Pubs will pass funding for the wall before the Dems take office in January. Then the new more Republican Senate can pass it when they take office.
A bill has to pass both houses of the same Congress.
House and Senate would have to both pass anything and send it to the President, before the new session is seated.
If the House passes something but the Senate does not agree to it in time, the new Congress can pull it back on day one.
No Congress can bind the next.
They can still pass bills (including wall funding) in the lame duck, as long as both Houses pass it.
We will see if the President gets screwed on wall funding by the RINOs, or if they honor their deals.
Doesn’t work that way. Bills in the current Congress have to be passed by both houses in the current Congress, or else the process starts all over in 2019.
In a Perfect World, that would happen, but (Skunk) Paul Ryan will not allow it to happen.
